Eligibility

Is your project ready?

A checklist, not a promise.

Tasman Bay, Nelson

01The project

All four have to be true.

  • In the mature research stage
  • A clear, demonstrable proof of concept
  • Some technical validation conducted
  • Needs capital for end-stage research and production

02The applicant

Individuals or companies.

Location

New Zealand first. Overseas applicants are still considered.

Other funding

Existing investors or funding are not a barrier.

Qualifications

Not required. Demonstrable skill, initiative and drive are.

03The request

What you are asking for.

Amount

Up to NZD $100,000, sized to the project. Interest 1–8% by project risk, fixed between milestones. See what that costs.

Use

R&D, production line, or marketing once a product is ready. Not overheads, rent, utilities or accounting.

Evidence

A progress report, a project valuation and a clear pathway to completion, with CVs, a business plan and IP status, the key risks and how they would be managed, and any regulatory approvals the project still needs.

04Check eligibility

Is Wing the right fit?

A guide, not an assessment. Nothing you answer here is stored or sent. If it points to an application, there is no fee to apply.

  • Field. Primary health, renewable energy or waste management.
  • Stage. Wing comes in from proof of concept, not an idea or research still underway.
  • Use of funds. R&D, production line, or marketing once a product is ready. Not overheads, rent, utilities or accounting.
